The Centre for the Cooperation in the Mediterranean is an entity created by the Spanish Red Cross in July 2005, by an initiative of the Mediterranean Conference.

 

 The Centre has its office in Barcelona and relies upon the support of the Generalitat of Catalunya (Catalan Regional Government) and upon the Barcelona City Council.

 

The Mission of the Centre for the Cooperation in the Mediterranean is:

 

- To host the Permanent Office for the follow-up of the Conference

 

- To facilitate the follow-up of the resolutions of the Mediterranean Conference.

 

- To promote the interaction between National Societies of the Mediterranean, the exchange and sharing of experiences contributing to the fulfilment of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement purposes.
