Aside of hosting the Permanent Office for the follow-up of the Mediterranean Conference of Red Cross and Red Crescent, the CCM has the objective of promoting partnership between National Societies of the Mediterranean and the exchange and sharing of experiences and knowledge. 

Furthermore the CCM organizes activities and encourages visibility and recognition of the humanitarian action of Red Cross and Red Crescent in the region in collaboration with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and other public and private partners and international organisations.
